What you say about How To Use Your Digital Camera Workshop Beginners Course

“I loved the day-Lou was fantastic at getting the whole group (despite lots of different cameras) to move through the projects which were brilliantly designed to leave us all at the end of the photography course understanding how to use our cameras once off Auto mode!! Thank you” Nicole Robertson

“Great day and just what I needed to start me on the way to taking better photographs.” James Smith

“Lou does not only have great technical knowledge, she is also a great tutor! The photography course was well structured to make participants explore the first steps beyond “auto” mode. The individual locations / projects were well selected to help getting to the points. Many thanks Lou – you really got us hooked!” Rolf & Manuela Deusinger

  1. Hi Lou,

My boyfriend and I are interested in your photography course. Would my Canon PowerShot G7 X be suitable for the course. Also could you recommend a DSLR camera to purchase as my boyfriend is interested in buying one before we book the course.

    Kind Regards,
    Corine

    1. Hi Corine

      Great to hear from you.

Your camera is fine for our Beginners Course. I have sent you an email with more info about camera choices for your boyfriend.

Looking forward to meeting you both soon on our Beginners Photography Course

We also offer camer hire which could be a perfect interim solution.

      Kind Regards
      Lou Smith

  4. Hi Lou,
I am a total beginner with hand camera, although I like taking pictures from my cell phone.
I want to extend my interest by learning photography.
My camera is Canon and I got it as a gift. Is it ok to learn from this camera..?
Please let me know, I am very keen on joining your class..

    Thanks and regards,

  5. Hi there – do you keep a waiting list for this workshop? I can really only make the 8th of July…would really like to do this course as opposed to one of the others. D

    1. Hi Danielle,

Great to hear from you. We have added you to the waiting list for our Beginners Photography Course, Sat 8th July. We will let you know if a space becomes available.

We also run this course as a Private Course with one to one tuition, which means that you can select your preferred date.

      I hope this information helps.

      Kind Regards
      Lou Smith

  6. Hi Lou,

I would like to buy the beginners course for my daughter but I am not sure when she can go and I don’t want to tell her obviously.
How can I buy the course and choose date at a later date?

    Thanks,
    Maria

  7. hi Lou , i am looking for a short course preferably saturday and i would also like to bring my godson too who is 14 is this possible .

    1. Hi Nikki,

Great to hear from you. We recommend an entry level DSLR like a Nikon D3300 or Canon 1300D. They are around £300. If you do not want a DSLR then there are many advanced compacts and bridge cameras with powerful zoom functions. The Canon powershot SX series starts from around £170. Best to decide your budget and if you want a camera with interchangeable lenses or if you prefer something smaller and lighter with zoom facility built in to the lens.

When you get your new camera do book and learn how to use your camera in our excellent Beginner Photography Course.

      We hope this information helps.

      Kind Regards
      Lou Smith
